Musescore update keeps reverting to previous version
I've been using Musescore 4 for a while and almost everytime I want to open it it has reverted to the previous version.
Honestly pretty annoying.

Is is Musescore 3 launching instead of Musescore 4? Are you launching directly from Musescore files or through a shortcut app?

It launches the previous version of Musescore 4. So today it opened 4.3.2 eventhough I installed 4.4 yesterday. And same with earlier versions

This issue was fixed in the 4.4: https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/15167
I guess you should nevertheless remove the or the previous versions ? As explained in the same report issue.

Interesting you should say that it is fixed, as it has just happened to me with this new version.
I do not find any old versions in my files so I'll assume it will not happen again.

If you're running Windows, sure? In Windows Settings / Apps / Apps and features / you see only one version of Musescore Studio ? - as in the image below
