MS 4.4.2 > Style>Fretboard Diagrams

It’s standard that a click on a text label alters the state of a checkbox or radio button, and MuseScore generally adheres to this norm.

In the following locations label clicks have no effect / The user has to click directly on the control icon:

     Style>Fretboard diagrams

          Fret Number
               Position>Left
               Position>Right

          Format:
               Number only
               Custom suffix:

Non-functional properties

     Style>Fretboard diagrams>Edit fret number text style
