Broken .Mscz file

I have been writing a full band score since May, and around a week ago, the file itself broke. I don't know what happened, but I do know that it retained its file size while disallowing the opening thereof as an archive(when I try, it either can't read the contents or says there are no contents). It also will not open no matter how long I wait after pressing open anyways. Can this be saved? The Mscz. backup is having the exact same issue, and the only copy I have is from 2 months ago.
