Broken .Mscz file
I have been writing a full band score since May, and around a week ago, the file itself broke. I don't know what happened, but I do know that it retained its file size while disallowing the opening thereof as an archive(when I try, it either can't read the contents or says there are no contents). It also will not open no matter how long I wait after pressing open anyways. Can this be saved? The Mscz. backup is having the exact same issue, and the only copy I have is from 2 months ago. Thanks a bunch!

It is not broken, it is just a file full of zeros.

How would that have happened? I worked on it just fine until it wouldn't open?

This is a known issue and unfortunately nobody yet knows why, when and how it happens. The bad news is there is no way for you to recover your score except use the latest available backup you have. The good news is we are actively working on significantly mitigating this problem and its impact (lost changes, frustration, etc.). I do hope we will be able to release it in MSS 4.4.3. Are you using MuseScore Studio on Windows? (All other users that have encountered this issue are on Windows)
