Repeats Not Playing
I can not get repeats to play, even though it is checked in the Playback Settings. I upgraded to the latest version, and that did not help. I closed Musescore and re-opened the file, and that did not help. No problem printing anything, but I am using Musescore for music minus one practice.
I am not exactly and elite user, so maybe I am overlooking something?

This should work. MuseScore doesn't seem to want to play repeats that aren't at a barline, so what you effectively have there is a barline object that looks like a repeat, but doesn't actually do anything. That's also why they dont span the whole grand stave but appear separately on each staff.
To fix it, I split each bar that has a repeat in it into a 3/4 bar and a 1/4 bar, but excluded the 1/4 bar from the bar count in Bar Properties (I also did this for the anacrusis, since they're typically not counted), and put the repeat barline between them. I'm not sure how to how to make the beam span the repeat barline in bar 24, but I think there's a setting for it somewhwere.
The "Right and left repeat" sign is not functional when it comes to repeats within measures.
You must first split the measure, using this feature in menu "Tools" / Measures / Split measure before the selected note/rest.
EDIT: acting via Measure properties has the same effect, but just takes longer to do :)
Finally, add the "right and..." sign to the new barline created by this action.

To get the repeat barline to span the entire score, click on it. In the top staff you will see a tiny handle appear that can be dragged down to the next staff. This is a graphic change only, with no impact on playback.
