Merge rest measures

I have previously been able to merge rest measures (about two weeks ago), using a tip I found on YouTube, by simply pressing the "M" character on the keyboard on my computer. Recently (yesterday and today), this ability to merge rest measure is not working. Is there any other way to merge rest measures?

New shortcut since version 4.4: Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + M
But you can redefine it as your wish in menu Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts
