Lyrics matching up with notes.

• Oct 21, 2024 - 21:51

I have a situation where the first verse has 8 8th notes in the measure. However, the second verse has 2 triplets (6 quarter notes) in the same measure. As you know, when the notes of one verse is different from the notes of the second verse in the same measure, you use those small notes. How do I match up the lyrics for each verse. Also, technically, the second verse notes are in 1st voice, just like the first verse, but do I need to use second voice to enter the notes?

Thanks

A) It doesn't "sing". You'll be able to get "aah" and "ooh" and "mmm" if you have the MuseSounds voice, but nothing more than that.
B) No, it will either play both rhythms both times or else one OR the other rhythm both times. The only way you could get it to play one rhythm the first time and the other rhythm the second time is to not use a repeat. Just notate the first verse in measures 1 through X and the second verse in measures X+1 through 2X.
