Importing files in ABC or MusicXML

I used to download a lot of files in ABC format but the latest version has stopped that working. Using the add-in opens a window where I used to paste the abc text, now this window is not active, can't write into it or paste into it.
I've tried importing musicxml files, but not had any joy here either.
Is this a general problem or just me?
