Musescore 4.4.3.2etc

• Oct 25, 2024 - 15:50

I've just downloaded 4.4 and find that the 'tied-note' shortcuts I used to use don't work any more. Pressing 't' while highlighting a note doesn't do anything. Why has it changed?

It works for me just like it used to in 4.4.2. Have you checked the assignment of shortcuts in Edit>Preferences? Have you tried reverting to factory settings from the Help menu?

Also note that T doesn't do anything unless a) you are in note input mode or b) there is another note of the same pitch to the right of the selected note to tie to.

Thanks Steve, that's most helpful. I've just tried it again and It seems to be working. It may be that, as you suggest, I was in the wrong input mode.
That said, my preferences [on a Mac) are not in the Edit sub-menu but in the MuseScore main sub-menu. And the list of shortcuts given there does not include 't' at all.

I am having the same problem as well. No solutions yet, but it's strange that a default setting/hotkey bugged out in a new update for seemingly no reason.
Such an annoying one to bug out too!

Ugh... unfortunately you have to reset your preferences to fix it. You'll have to reorder your tabs all over again but at least your hotkeys will work.
