Crashes when deleting effect

• Nov 12, 2024 - 01:24

When i try to delete Softtube, Saturation Knob from my master channel, musescore crashes. I just put it on there to beef up the sound one time to hear it, wasn't planning on keeping it there. But it won't delete and the whole program crashes.

I'm sending a screenshot of the musescore version, my system specs and version of windows and the master channel just so you can see it for whatever reason.

How do I get someone to see this?

I also have another problem that I can't seem to find anything about, although I am finding a lot on tremolo problems.

I have tremolo strings at pp, but they start with a louder attack then get soft and I can't figure out how to make them just start at pp.
I can't find this exact problem, if someone could point me to a thread if it's already created it would be much appreciated.

"How do I get someone to see this?"

The usual way is attach a copy of your score (the .mscz file) to your forum post. The score file contains way more information than a couple of screenshots.

Then you provide steps to reproduce the problem: a step-by-step description of what you are doing, outlining the expected result and the actual result.

I was just referring to how to get someone to see my post and comment. It's been a week and I actually forgot about it for a few days. Not complaining, I'm super new to musescore, less than a month and wasn't sure if support is just very backed up or I wasn't doing something right for the post to be seen. I know sometimes people can just be busy and that's not a problem.

Do i have to reproduce the problem as in, add a plug-in then hope that when I try to delete the plugin the program crashes?
Or reproduce as in, when I upload the score and someone else opens it, they try to delete the plugin and it crashes on them?

Because I have no idea how I would make the program crash after adding, then deleting a plugin. That just happened on its own and doesn't happen in any other score I've added plugins to so far.
But I can upload the score in a little bit.

With my second problem, I could reproduce that over and over because no matter how I add tremolo, text or note slashes.... The initial attack is loud then goes to whatever dynamic I'm using. Even if i try to do a workaround with niente and a super quick hairpin up.
But I would rather either be shown a post that's already posted or make a separate post for that specific problem.

This is the file, the saturation knob plugin on the master channel won't delete. Every time i try to delete it, the program crashes.
Pay no attention to the wrong notation, i know it's wrong. It was imported as a midi file from another daw.... lol
