How to manually hide/show empty staves?
I'm notating a choral piece and for the most part, hiding empty staves is what I want. I don't need three empty staves during the piano intro/interlude, and more importantly I don't need to split my vocal line into three staves for most of the piece, save for a small section in the middle. But I would like to lead into that section with empty staves until each part enters, rather than only showing one at a time. Is there a way to keep some empty staves visible while hiding all the others? I've been trawling through the musescore forums but so far I haven't found a solid fix. Thanks!

Use a staff text with white transparent text

Adding staff text fixed the empty stave problem (yay!) but I don't see an option to edit text color/transparency in the properties window. And setting text to invisible hides the staves again :(
Edit: I figured it out, had to go to properties > show more > text style, then set the style to one of the user styles, then go to format > style > text styles, and change the color of the same user style to white. Still can't mess with opacity but this works fine lmao
Thanks for the help! Much appreciated

Hmm, works in Mu3, where the color dialog shows the Alpha channel. Seems to have gotten lost in Mu4
See https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/13652
But making it just white should work too, on white paper
