I just experienced that problem in MS 4.4.3 under Ubuntu 24.04. Also when I click on seemingly random things, an 1/8 note, a whole note, the undo icon, the session crashes. Never know which click is going to take it down. Looks like maybe not as stable as claimed.
I also have discovered that on any saved files I have there is no Mixer function available to adjust instrument and voice balance. If for instance I want to play along as the solo instrument with accompaniment in the background I no longer can adjust relative levels between voices, which makes this new version practically worthless to me. This is a universal problem whether its older saved files or new ones just downloaded from the website. No level adjust means I will not pay my annual ransom for this app when it comes due again.

It seems to work fine on Windows, but I'm trying to quit and would much rather use it on Linux. I pretty much have to have a properly functioning mixer. The other issue I have, with it randomly crashing when clicking on varying functions is even more of a problem.

I've moved back to the Appimage for 4.4.2 and the mixer seems to work fine. Also, if I save it in 4,4,2 with the mixer showing, it shows up when subsequently opened in 4.4.3. No crashing yet, but I haven't really tested it.
