New Update "Can't Be Completed"

I'm having issues with the latest Musescore update. I do all the steps to download the new version of Musescore, only for the process to come to a grinding halt. This error message keeps popping up (see attached). I know how to unlock and check permissions, but what "files" is this message referring to? Everything seems to be in order. I'm using a Mac laptop with the new Sequoia 15 operating system.
