Drag-drop time signature does not change the nominal bar duration

I noticed a weird behavior in MuseScore 4. I created a custom 15/8 time signature that I dropped on an empty measure. When I right click on that measure and select bar properties, I notice the nominal bar duration is 4/4 which is not what I was expecting.

How to apply the 15/8 as expected?

You have obviously only changed the text in the 4/4 time signature instead of generating a new time signature.
Go to “More” in the time signature palette and press “Create time signature”.
