Unable to save files

Life is too short to use Musescore 4. I have used Musescore for a number of years and upgraded to Musescore 4 when first released but found that a number of bugs made it unusable and have been using another (inferior) programme as an alternative. It is a new year and decided to return to Musescore with the hope that bugs will have been fixed. I have begun inputting a score only to find that it will not save. I have tried various methods but when I get to the pop up asking me to choose the cloud or my computer as a destination for the file it freezes. The only way I could proceed was to close my computer with a force quit as Musescore prevented any other closure as it would not let me quit the programme. Please get the basics to work reliably and stop wasting people's time. Reliability is more important than additional features.
For you information I have an Apple Mini with OS Sonoma 14.6.1
