Musescore randomly making notes bartok pizzicato, string slaps, or normal pizzicato
I am using Musescore Studio 4.4.4 as I type this. Problem is fairly self-explanatory but why it is happening is anything but. I have tried:
- Closing Musescore & reopening
- Restarting my computer
- Changing soundfont of strings
- Reinstalling Musesounds
- Reinstalling spitfire strings
- Uninstalling and reinstalling Musescore itself
- Creating a new score and writing the same music there
Attached is a score affected. Unfortunately it will not let me attach the recording of what playback sounds like. Musescore is currently completely unusable for anything I intend to use it for.
(attached score only includes cellos but the effect persists for all strings)

Did you check for HUB updates? This was a problem a month ago or so.

Sorry, forgot to include that. Yes, I did. No hub updates on my end.
You never cancelled the pizzicato at measure 34 and 35. Stick an arco in there and it should work.

Well, it's on all 8 of the cellos, and it's happening even before the pizzicato marking. Sorry, I should have clarified that.

(thank you for catching that, though: bit hard to remember to switch between pizz and arco with all the string slaps.)
exactly the same problem here. can't figure out why, at random places, playback decides a strings part must sound like bartok pizzicato. When touching a note in the score, all notes of string instruments sound like bartok pizzicati. Not only in existing scores, also in new ones.

strangely enough, when playing your score it sounds perfectly alright with me. no slap pizzicati. And when I download the piece I just uploaded, there are no faults either. I've attached another score, in which all the cello notes sound like bartok pizzicati, when touched in the score.
Did you try changing the soundfont to an MS Basic font? With me, the problem only occurs when using samples of the musesound-fonts. They obviously sound better, but maybe they aren't compatible with the soundcard of my (and your) laptop.
