Incorrect note input on click
Platform: Musescore 4 on Windows 11
Sometimes, when introducing notes using the mouse click, the incorrect note is entered. To input notes I place the mouse cursor over the line or space I want to input, and I can see the notehead placement representing the note I want to enter. When I click, then a neighbor note is entered, usually at a step distance of my target note. I have very good pulse and I use the number keypad to introduce notes using the keyboard instead of regular mouse clicks, so I don't think this issue is related to a last moment displacement of the mouse. It doesn't happen always and I haven't found a way of reproducing it, but it happens often enough to be annoying.
Am I the only person experiencing this?
EDIT: I recorded a video demonstrating the issue, it took me multiple attempts with the same note for it to happen

Hello Amy. I too have this problem - I'm quite a novice with the app but this has appeared with the latest (4.5.2) version although I haven't used it for a while so could have come in an earlier version. Suffice to say it makes the s/w virtually unusable. However, searching with "cursor click", I came across a similar Forum enquiry ("Window and Cursor behaviour in 4.4" from September 2024) which is for a similar, but not the same, issue. One of the suggestions is to not have your window maximised but still to have stretched the edges so it looks as if it's maximised - it seems to fix the problem. I can't believe nobody has responded to your post after 4 months. (BTW Your video is a bit quick and short to see what is really happening, I found. As I have the same problem, I could tell what was going on but a stranger might be puzzled. If my suggestion above doesn't get you anywhere, maybe re-do the video taking longer over each position/click. I realise it's tricky to do.) Good luck.
