Preinstalled plugins: what is anything?
The Handbook (both old and GitBook) only lists the preinstalled plugin names, with less detail than is found in the plugin panel in the program.
The link to the GItHub tree shows a bunch of folders with names that don't match the ones found in the program and handbook. Modal temperaments seems to be missing.
Additionally, the contextual line of text that appears when one clicks on one of the plugins in the dedicated panel in Studio is THE SAME for three of them: Tuning, Modal Tuning, and Modal Temperaments. They all say "Apply various temperaments and tunings" (by the way, side note: it would be nice if text from the program's menus could be selected and copypasted...), when that sub-title or flavour text is specifically what a user would look to in order to disambiguate between those three plugins that, by name, do not provide a clear idea of what makes them distinct and what makes any one of them more appropriate to any one use-case.
Comments
For anyone that reaches this looking for the same answer: those three are all the same tool, they just differ in what presets they contain.
None allows for more than 12 notes per octave and none allows octave non-equivalency.
