Freezing when I add measures

I am using the latest update of Musescore for Mac. When I add >3 measures at a time, the program freezes. Sometime it even freezes when I add one measure, especially after several one-measure adds. I'm saving after each addition, but it will eventually crash before I get to 8 measures.

This is not specific to one score. It has been happening since I updated to this latest build.
