Recovering a Custom Palette After Resetting Musescore to Factory Defaults
Many years ago I imported a classical guitar palette that someone else had created. Recently, I accidentally hit reset to factory defaults in Musescore and the palette is no visible. Is the classical guitar palette still in a folder somewhere on my computer? Or did it get nuked when I went back to the default settings? What would the extension be for a palette file? I still have Musescore 3.6.2.yaddayaddayadda. Thanks!

Wish I could help with the palette question, but I've never used custom ones.
However, it would be more helpful to identify precisely your version of MuseScore and your operating system and its version. Instead of "yaddayaddayadda" :-) You can do so easily and in one step by clicking on Help / About MuseScore from the main menu. Then click the copy button (two pieces of paper) next to the "Revision" number. Paste that into your post.
I couldn't find the original .mpal file. Instead, I opened some of my old Musescore files that contain the symbols I need and I'm creating my own custom palette. Problem solved.
