no space above synalepha between characters
I am using several synalepha like a source I am imitating,
but no space appears between the lyric characters above the synalepha.
Is there something I should adjust to make this happen?

Which version of MuseScore, which OS, which font are you using? How are you entering the synalepha? Can you attach the score you are having trouble with?
Example.
After the first syllable:
Hold AltGr (or Ctrl) and press twice space;
Left arrow, back up one space;
Enter the synalepha.
