Trill problem - semitone AND whole tone

• Aug 30, 2025 - 07:53

Hi!
This (the attached image) is piano. It's G clef in the left hand. The key is A major. I want the trill to be between E and F natural. So in Properties I chose Interval minor. It looks correct - the natural accidental is above the trill. But the trill is performed E to F in the first bar, E to F# in the second bar and E to F in bar 3 (The trill does not continue to bar 4. But the same problem occurs if I drag the trill line to include also the fourth bar).

I have the same piece in another arrangement where this is played by a xylophone. The same thing happens there - in the second bar of the trill it trills between E and F# even though I chose Interval minor and the natural accidental is shown above the trill.

Is this a known problem? Are there workarounds to solve this?
