Printing scores

• Jan 25, 2010 - 22:31

I can't print a full page of a score. I am using Mac OS 10.4.11. and MuseScore 0.9.5. I have tried using the pdf version to print and even exporting the page to iPhoto, but I still get only the title and one partial line of music printed at the very bottom of the sheet. I saw this problem in the forum, but could see no answer given for the problem. So far, everything else has worked beautifully, but if I can't print it the efforts are wasted. Please help. kmac

Here is the original thread that you referred to: http://musescore.org/node/3276

The first step in fixing a bug is being able to reproduce it consistently. Unfortunately this bug only seems to happen for some people on Mac and not others. The bug hunt involves finding out what is different about the computers that are having the problem and then finding which of those differences matter for this bug.

It would be a good idea to post the full details about your computer and the printer you are using. Maybe information about the print driver? Probably it would be best to post this information in the original thread (mentioned above). That way your response will show up for the individuals already subscribed to that particular thread.

I found a solution on this forum for my Mac printing problem. Saving directly from MuseScore as a pdf, rather than during the printing set up process, allowed me to print the whole page. Yipee! and thanks!

I had this same problem with my mac. You have to add page or line breaks to your score, go to layout then click on breaks and you will have to insert them into your score.

I was working on a multi-instrument score and i put page breaks on the last measure at the top of each page. this worked the first time but the second time I tried printing the same score, it did not work. For individual pieces however, I saved the part as a pdf file and that worked fine.
