Pickup Notes
When starting a new score, adding a pickup measure is relatively easy (I'm using 1.3), but I have something I want to do that doesn't seem to fit the model.....
I'm writing in 2/4 time. The option is to add a 1 beat pickup measure, which I have done. But my pickup notes are only a half beat - 2 16th notes. To make this clearer, I'd like to have just a half beat for the pickup (an eighth rest) or the 2 notes. I have changed all of the parts to be this, but can't figure out how to delete the first eighth rest.
Is there a way to do that?
Thanks in advance.

See if it is useful "Properties" in http://musescore.org/en/handbook/measure-operations
Change the value of Actual in the section Measure Duration
Whether doing it when you create the score or later in Measure Properties, you want to tell it the duration is 1/8. However, since you've already entered the notes, you'll find this deletes the notes you entered - it would have been better to do this first. It might be easier to simply hide the rest (right click menu in 1.3, press "V" or use Inspector in 2.0 beta/nightly builds).
Thanks for both responses. The solution was indeed as described in the measure properties. I continue to be surprised at the flexibility contained in Muse Score - I was easily able to follow your directions and solve the issue I was facing.
Thanks again!
