Personal music streaming

Had somewhat of an epiphany recently. For my entire adult life (so far, currently 67) there has been music playing in my head in the background pretty much all the time. Playlist consists of anything from popular to classical, and individual pieces seem to repeat for a while before being replaced by the next "selection". It is involuntary and I cannot stop it. Never thought too much about it until recently, when chatting with friends, but when I mentioned this idea, they regarded me as if I had two heads and one of them was ugly.

Never really thought about it, as it has always been this way, and I suppose I assumed everyone had this experience, but lately, since asking around, haven't found anybody who has this happen. So, how about my fellow MuseScore bloggers- does this happen to you?
