Tambourine shake?
Hey, sorry if I'm ignorant or something, but I can't seem to find out how to insert an extended tambourine shake in the tambourine staff, as opposed to the short sound that the normal 'drum' palette utilizes.
In general, if someone could reference somewhere I could learn about percussion, types of percussion sounds and how I can use them in MuseScore, that would be great.

I use tremolo, but the 'extended' aspect won't sound in 1.3 - it will in the forthcoming 2.0 release though.

Ok, and how do I do this? Adding tremolo to the notes from the Tremolo palette seems to have no effect at all.

If you are using version 1.3, you won't hear any effect. You will in the forthcoming 2.0 release (currently in beta), however.
Bare in mind though that the priority of MuseScore is the visuals, rather than sound.
