Appending measures results in 2/4 duration instead of 4/4

Hi there!

By a way of introduction, my name is Etienne Snyman, a part-time musician who is attempting to go full-time. I use MuseScore v0.9.4 on Ubuntu Karmic (9.10).

However, I am struggling with the "Append Measure" function. My composition in in 4/4 time, and half-way through I have a bar of 2/4, and then it changes back to 4/4 in the next bar. However, ever since I added that 2/4 bar, and I attempt to append or even insert any number of measures anywhere in the composition, the actual measure duration is set at 2/4, while the nominal remains at 4/4.

That means that for every bar that I must append, I first have to edit the measure properties before I can continue to use the measure.

Is there any way that I can set it so that all measures appended are both nominally and actually 4/4? Or is it a bug in version 0.9.4? (0.9.4. is the version in the Ubuntu repositories)

Thank you in advance!

Etienne

I'm not able to reproduce this using version 0.9.5 could you attach the score you are working with.

By the way version 0.9.4 is quite old. You can get the latest stable version by following the instructions on the download page of this website.

Hi David

No worries, it's just a bug in 0.9.4. In the issue tracker I found the workaround.

Due to my current lack of internet connection, I cannot load 0.9.5, although I really want to! I loaded it on a friend's Windows computer, and I then use it when my 0.9.4 fails me.

Thanks
