Guitar Dead Notes?
I'm currently using Musescore 2.0 Beta 2's tablature feature and I'm trying to write guitar parts that require dead notes. They are usually notated w/ a "X" and I've been trying really hard to find out how to do it. I don't mind if it won't do playback, I just want it on my sheet. And I've already tried dragging the "x" from the note head palette but my notes aren't changing. I'm not sure if this is normal. So I need some suggestions please. Thank you for your time.

Wow, thanks dude! I've spent hours searching on google and didn't even think about how easily resourceful the actual forum was. I really appreciate all the help, cheers!
1.Add an extra Guitar
2.Add Mixer and change your extra Guitar to Palm Muted Guitar
3.Write your Dead Notes In this Guitar Line and add under every Dead Note "Staccatissimo"
(you can find it at Articulations and Ornaments)
The Sound is almost like a Dead Note.
