Changing banks

Anyone know how to change instrument banks? The FluidR3_GM.sf2 soundfont I'm using with MuseScore has additional instruments beyond the standard 128 that are modifications using the base samples in different ways to produce different sounds. They're cited in the Viena (not to be confused with Vienna) soundfont editor I'm using as being in bank 008.

I though it might be as simple as adding the tag 008 in the instrument list to call the instrument from a different bank, but that doesn't work.

I haven't been able to find any information about the protocols for the instrument list file format that MuseScore uses. I've been successful in modifying the list to, for instance, have the sound effects appear in the list, but I'd like to be able to add sounds from more than one bank.

MuseScore displays the first bank in the mixer for normal instruments and the last bank for percussion. I don't think there is a way to do access any of the other banks using current versions of MuseScore.
