repeating accidentals early music style
Composers roughly before Mozart would repeat accidentals when they reoccur in a bar. For instance JS Bach does this. This is a great help specially in long bars when a sharp comes back in the end of a bar. It woulod be very nice (as part of early music features) to have the option of repeating accidentals.
Accidentals should not be repeated when a note is repeated, even in a next bar!
I think it is very strange the original style of accidentals is quite seldom adopted by editors because it would avoid many mistakes. As a professional (baroque) musician I can tell you this is reality.
Of course I know you could add accidentals manually (or hide) but when you use a midi keyboard this is a lot more work and might cause mistakes of that one accidental forgotten...
In the attachment one line of prelude in c from the Clavierbüchlein vor WF Bach, clearly visible the repeating accidentals within the bar.
