Entering acute characters
On Mac 10.10.2 (not 10.7.5), I can hold down a certain character and a menu will pop up to offer the acute form.
I'm aware of the Special Characters menu, but are we able to implement this method for MuseScore?

It's still a question, but just because it's been a while.
Using MuseScore 2.1 Release Candidate d2dda16 and 3.0 Nightly Build 8526f62 - Mac 10.11.6.
This is not supported by Qt and it would be quite some effort to code something specific in MuseScore. It's definitely Qt's job
