violin harmonics

I would like one note head added: a hollow diamond that doesn't fill for notes whose duration is shorter than a half note. When a composer wants the violin or viola to play an artificial harmonic, a base note will be placed on the staff and another note will be added that is a perfect fourth above the base. The note head of the base looks like any other note, but the harmonic note head is always a hollow diamond laying on its side. As it is, when attempting to specify harmonics for quarter notes, the diamond shape is filled in. Half and whole note are displayed just fine, its only for shorter notes that the problem occurs.

In addition, the playback should support this notation. The sound will be pitched two octaves above the base note and have a soft, flute-like quality.

change note head group to diamond and not head type to half
Don't solve the playback issue though, for that you'd need to tweak the note's tuning, bit that only goes up 200, 2 semi tones

I also compose for violin and occasionally use string harmonics, so one day it would be great if the notation would play the harmonic version of the string.
