Combine staves into a single staff with two voices, 2nd run

This question was already posted in March 2009 by Hawstom here .
But alas, no answer is to be find in this thread, neither in the forums nor handbook.
System Information:

  • Version of MuseScore: 0.9.5
  • Operating system: Windows XP
  • not a bug, but a problem

The following works for me using r.2919 nightly build .

  1. Select the notes in the staff that you want to become the down-stem (voice 2) notes for the combined staff
  2. Edit > Voices > Exchanges 1-2
  3. Select the notes in the staff that you want to become the up-stem (voice 1) notes for the combined staff
  4. Edit > Copy
  5. Select the first measure that you exchanged in step 2 above
  6. Edit > Paste
