handbook translation

• Mar 23, 2015 - 19:42

Hi every body, I just went to the topic about release schedule, and was wondering about when will the Handbook 2.0 be available to translation into all the different languages of Musescore . I didn't found the answer so I'm asking here if someone knows it ;)

Thank you ;)

Early April most likely. There is still some infrastructure work to do to make translations of the 2.0 handbook possible. Thank you for your patience.

G'd-day mates!

Looks like the Italian version of the new documentation is missing. I would be happy to give my contribution to the MuseScore project by translating parts of the English version. I surely don't lack the needed musical expertise and, as an Italian native speaker, I'm quite good at translating from English into Italian. The problem is that I don't have ANY idea of the rules I have to follow, i.e. I have no idea of where and how I could submit my contributions (I hope the mechanism is not too hard to grasp for me).

Ah, and just to let me know -- is this team work or one should achieve the task as a whole by himself?

I think we have to wait still some days ....
And you need to have translation right open (just write in the forum or to Thomas the webmaster).

Then when both conditions will be done, on each page of the handbook you will see a tab with translation and how italian translation (or any other language) is done
* create page means it hasn't been translated yet
* Out of date means that the English page has been updated since the last translation
* up to date means that is already done.
