naming individual parts in a score
When I set up a score for guitar trio, on the score each guitar part is simply labeled "guitar", without qualifying each as guitar 1, guitar 2, or guitar 3. Is it possible to label each guitar part numerically? If so, how does one go about doing so?

Sure, right click the staff or name, Staff Properties, see the Part name, Long instrument name, and Short instrument name.
