Grid for formatting
I think it would be useful for engravement/formatting purposes to have a "togglable" grid that would allow the user to see how dynamics/articulations/fermatas etc. line up with each other across the system. The default position of these is not always what I need in my formatting (in choral works especially) and it would be nice to know how they are lining up after I adjust the position.

Also note if you don't like the defaults, you can change them - most elements have a default position set in Style / General or Style / Text.
Note thought that is not usually appropriate for articulations & fermatas to physically line up - they should normally be positioned relative to the notes themselves. And this is what MuseScore does. But you can override this as well in Style / General / Articulation.
