(Solved)In a chord changing so one of the notes is a quarter the others half.

(Solved)I have a song I wrote and in it I have a chord the bottom note of the chord needs to be a half note while the top needs to be a quarter. I know this may not be standard or a good approach but its what I need. Is there a way in this software to just change the one note from the chord to a quarter note? See image attached to see what I mean. I have the left hand on a middle C and the right hand will be playing the middle C in part of the melody and I need the left hand to just release the middle C note and not the bottom note in the chord.

Edit: Sorry but figured it out. In Musescore you can select an item like the top note of the chord and then in the inspector you can change it. The Note section is where you would go in the Inspector to change that.
