How to save as .wav or MIDI
I have read online in a few different places, including the musescore site, that scores can be saved as .wavs, MIDIs, PDFs etc, but the only options I have are .mscx and ,mscz,. Do I need a certain plugin or something in order to save to these other formats or what? I am using the 2.0 Release Candidate version. Thanks, Danetone.
p.s. I also have 1.3 and I noticed that it can save to many different formats, but it can't open/read any of my saved scores because they were created in 2.0. Is there anything I can do without having to rewrite the scores from scratch in 1.3?
Thanks.

I figured it out. I had to use "export" instead of "save as" and then I had all the options.
thanks.

Thank you, sir, you actually helped me out on this one now I can upload some of my music anywhere.
I was able to do this by saving the file as mscz and then changing the extension name to midi.

changing the extension of a file is not magically doing any file format conversion
Just use File > Export and in that dialog pick MIDI. In 3.6.2 that is, Note that this thread started with MuseScore 1.3 and 2.0
