Insane CPU load using MuseScore 0.9.6
I am running MuseScore 0.9.6 on Kubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, which I installed by adding the ppa for Lucid.
I have a Core2Duo 3.0GHz as well as two nVidia GeForce 250 GTS's.
When I open MuseScore, at least one core gets maxed and the other hovers around 50%. And this stays constant for the whole time I use MuseScore. Once I close MuseScore, the CPU load goes back down to normal.
Any help in figuring this out would be great!!

Do you open any special scores ?
What is your sound settings?
Nope, no special scores, but since you pointed me to the sound settings, there was one box that was checked: Portaudio. I unchecked that, and now, I am _golden_!
