how to read makemusic finale files

I have a music teacher that sends me music files from above software and he uses windows - I'm using linux and musescore - is there a way to read the.mus files? i am attaching the pdf of the file as I am not able to upload the .mus file

MuseScore can't read Finale files. Get him to send you MusicXML files instead, he may need to use the Dolet plugin to create them.
Or try out the PDF Converter on MuseScore.com (here in the upper menu)
