Part Extraction

In a concert band score, it is common practice to have, for example, the 2nd and 3rd trumpets in one staff in the conductor's score but to separate them when giving them individual parts. Is there a way to do that currently? If, not, what's the best way to do that?

It's way easier to have separate staves. But if you need to save space and don't want to make the staves smaller, you can add separate staves for the parts and copy the music to them, then mark the extra staves invisible in the instrument list.

. . . and do not forget to update all the extra lines or parts if you make some modifications later.

Question to the forum:
Better to have a new option for those cases with linked parts or staffs and

--> automatic update in all the linked parts or staffs ?

Musescore 2.0 curremtly uses linked staffs for identical parts only
(e.g. Guitar in treble clef and tabulature)
but this option is not helpful for different parts or transpositions - I think.

to explain what I mean with identical/linked staffs/parts:

If I use linked staffs - all information and changes are identical and will take place in both staffs
and - what I knew - this is just useful for the guitar - with the possibility
for 2 notation forms ("5 lines normal" and 6 lines tabulature)

- but it is not possible to use them for a special function:
--> to transpose into different keys
--> or clefs
--> or to separate an existing 2-voice staff into 2 new single staffs.

It wold be nice to have a new option of linking - just therefore.
