Importing a MIDI and changing the sound/MuseScore instrument
Pretty sure this is the right place...
Is there any way to change the sound/MuseScore instrument in playback when importing a MIDI file? I still want to edit something as a midi, but I can't hear the main line due to stupid instrumentation (who puts a melody on a polysynth pad, anyway?). Is there any way to change it to something else?

When you first imported it, there shoudl have been a panel at the bottom of the screen that gives you some choices, but maybe only "related" choices. But any time you want, you can right click a staff, Staff Properties, Change Instrument.

Ah, that makes sense, thank you. The ones at the bottom are only the related choices, so the Staff Properties thing is what I needed.
