crashing from hbox and vbox v. 0.9.6 on MacOSX

Running v. 0.9.6 on Mac OSX.

Working on formatting a score, adding vbox to line up staves between pages and hbox for indentions. after shifting measures using more or less stretch, the boxes shift position. when i delete the boxes, the program crashes. i cannot move the boxes to the appropriate places to hold the indention or margins correctly. often times a vbox will shift from the top of the page to the bottom. any help would be appreciated.
