Key signatures missing

• Jul 11, 2010 - 21:28

Using 0.9.6 on a Mac with OS 10.5.8. I try to make a new score, and am only presented with a blank page that shows no key signatures. The same is true of the key signatures in the palette window. Screenshots attached.

Things I have tried/tested:
• I have tried deleting the program, downloading/reinstalling it, but still no key signatures.
• I have downloaded 0.9.6 it to my laptop running 10.6.3, and noticed key signatures works fine there.
• Tested old version 0.9.5 on my system running 10.5.8, and I get key signatures there, too.

I'm really at my wits end if I cannot change keys. Been looking for some kind of preference file stored in a library folder, but haven't found anything. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks!

Hello,

I've downloaded the update, and it did indeed fix the ability to choose a key signature when making a new score, and the key signatures on the palette window,

However, here is another issue, which started back with 0.9.6, and I'll try my best to explain it.

On 0.9.6, when I first started having the key signature issue above, I also tried to add key signatures to the Create -> Key signatures... (K) palette. Those were also blank in 0.9.6 on my desktop running 10.5.8 (they appeared fine on my laptop, running 10.6.3), and I used the Clear button to get rid of the blank ones and tried to make my own. Anyway, I was hoping that downloading the 0.9.6.1 version to my desktop would return the key signatures to this palette, but they are not there.

Since the key signatures appear correctly now on 10.5.8 at the creation stage and on the side palette, I am wondering why they are not appearing correctly on the Create -> Key signatures... palette, since this is a new version. Is there a preference file somewhere I need to delete to make these return? I've looked, but had no luck finding it.

Thanks!
