Going to alternate ending in the middle of a third repeat?

• Jun 25, 2015 - 03:23

Hello,

I am a composer who is using Musescore for the first time on a big project; to notate a sung-through musical.

I am currently trying to figure out the best way to notate a coda that takes place in the middle of the third repeat "verse", so to speak.

As you can see in the file attached below, after measure 17 on the third repeat (The lyrics are "taught me to slaughter") I want it to go to the coda on measure 23, so that it would play straight into (taught me to slaughter-anyone who stands in my way!")

If I could get assistance, or if someone could just edit the file to do what I'm asking, it would be much appreciated.

place a volta over measures 18-22 and modify it to cover 1st and 2nd repetition and a volta for 3rd repetition over bar 23
Or change repeat count of measure 22 to 2, add a D.S. al Code to that measure and put a segno to measure 5

See attachment (done in MuseScore 2.0.1, sorry only noticed afterwards that your score was made with 1.x, but I guess you'd better upgrade anyway)
