Bug: # and b in chord names don't change to sharps and flats

• Aug 27, 2010 - 14:12

Hi,

When I add more complex chord names that contain a sharp like F#7 or F#aug, the '#' sign I enter doesn't change into a sharp sign, like it does in 'F#'. I added a picture to illustrate it; the blue box contains some chords I tried, some '#''s do change into sharps, some don't.

Don't mind the red arrow under the words 'counted', I also use this image for a support question elsewhere on the forum. (http://musescore.org/en/node/6863)

P.S.: Of course, you can first add 'F#', then add 'aug' and paste the two after another. But I'd like it to recognize a sharp in every chord I enter.
P.P.S.: I also tried the 'b' that normally transfers into a flat, same issue.

I will turn out in sharp if you enter a chord that MuseScore knows. For the two you are refering to the "correct musescore spelling" is F#aug7 and F#dim7
