Disappearing Melisma - Is this a bug ?
I start entering lyrics under notes and have a syllable which extends over a few notes and so start entering melisma lines.
I then need to jump a note - ie no lyric syllable or melisma.
So I hit the space bar and ... the melisma line disappears !
Just to verify, I exported to MusicXML (in case it was just a display problem), and the extend node is not there.
Is this a bug ?
Is this by design ?

I'd say neither, it was just not something anyone expected anyone to do, as it doesn't normally make musical sense. If you want to end a melisma early, you can hit Esc to exit lyric edit mode.
