Changing size of palette element?
I have created a palette and imported a symbol from the symbol palatte into it that I can attach to a note. I want the symbol to be a bit bigger and I want it to appear below the note to which it is attached, rather than right on top of the notehead. Can these things be done and, if so, how?

The size of the element is not alterable unless you add it as text, using the Special Characters palette instead of adding it as a Symbol.
I thought it was possible to get an offset into the palette symbol, by applying one in your score then adding to the palette from there, but seems not actually the case. I guess that too is only for text. Settings made in Text Properties are applied to the palette.

Thanks, Marc. Is it possible to import an image into a palatte from somewhere other than from symbols? I mean, for instance, if one created a vector image (.svg), or a .png or .gif image in Adobe Illustrator, or some similar app, could you use that in a palette? That seems like it might be a work-around for the size problem.

Symbols can be added directly from your score. If you can place it on your score, you can then ctrl+shift+drag it to a palette.
What symbol are you wanting to resize, btw? Bravura was specifically designed so that all elements would be the correct size as establsihed by standard engraving practices. But I guess if you want to use a symbol for a different purpose than it was intended, a size change might be part of that.

Marc, I answered my own question. I created the symbol I wanted (which is a kind of large, triagular, acute accent) in Adobe Illustrator, saved it as a .png file, then simply dragged and dropped it into the palatte. It took a couple of tries to get it the right size, but it worked great.
Here's a screenshot. You can see the accent in the palette and under the score.
The way it works is, the accent and slash marks under the notes correspond to the accents and slashes in the text. (This sort of chant is used in The Plainsong Psaltery, which is commonly used in the American Episcopal church.)
Now, I just have to figure out how to get good accents on letters like "n" in the text!
