3 feature requests (hopefully they are implemented)

• Aug 3, 2015 - 04:30

1. Sul E,A,D,G,
Sul G is when every note is played on the G string. This will make it more convenient to have the sul G sound, without soundfronts (I have no knowledge of soundfronts, and probably will never know how to use soundfronts).

2. make the slurs actual slurs
Currently, slurs are decoration and not much else. They should make slurred notes smooth, like actual slurs.

3. Add the flamenco/Spanish guitar to the instruments
The flamenco guitar should be added to expand the ethnic instruments category.

I don't understand the phrase "decoration and not much else". MuseScore is a *notation* program first and foremost. Creating a printed score isn't "decoration"; it is the primary purpose of MuseScore. It happens to also have some playback features, but the fact that some markings don't playback doesn't mean the marking is "decoration" - it continues to serve its primary function.

Anyhow, I guess for #1 & #2 you are referring to playback.

There is no way to have MuseScore simulate playback of a note on a particular string if your soundfont doesn't support it. If that is a sound you wish to hear, you need to find a soundfont that supports it - there is no other way.

Slur plauback would be nice someday, but it's also somewhat beyond the current capabilities of the synthesizer system used by MuseScore.

As for flamenco/Spanish guitar, can you define how it would differ form other guitars? If this is also just about playback, then the answer again will be, you simply need to find a soundfont you like.
