Text in columns

• Sep 2, 2015 - 08:29

I have a song which is quite short. However, its lyrics contain 11 verses. I wonder if it would be possible to add several text frames side by side, like in column format, in order to fit all the text on one page under the score. Thank you.

Thank you Shoichi for your instructions. However, I am still unable to do it. Your link’s text is not in accord of version 2 of Musescore. There is not a Create-menu. I used Add-menu instead and inserted a vertical frame. So far it was OK, I could double-click and adjust vertically the frame.

Then I right clicked the frame. Firstly I added text and pasted some Lorem ipsum to it. Image named text_1.jpg shows the result. Secondly I tried right clicking and inserting a horizontal frame. After that double clicking will allow to resize it horizontally like the link says. However, after pasting the same text, one gets a situation like in image text_2.jpg.

How can I restrict the width of the text and what do I have to do in order to get two or three columns of text. Please, use the version 2 instructions.

Finally I succeeded. If someone have trouble with similar situation here is what I did:
1. Select a measure at the beginning of the score.
2. Add > Frames > Append vertical frame.
3. Right click it and Add > Insert horizontal frame.
4. Resize it with the handle which appears double clicking it.
5. Right click it and Add > Text. The handle must now not been seen. Paste or write the text.
6. Right click the vertical frame and Add > Insert horizontal frame once more.
7. Do the same thing which is said in 5. The text ends on the previous text at the very left.
8. Don’t click it. Now just move it to the right using Horizontal offset in the Inspector.
